This topic deals with an entry I found in /var/log/messages:

Jan 11 09:14:19 ns named[91]: Lame server on 'desstats.distributed.net' (in 'DISTRIBUTED.NET'?): [207.158.192.40].53 'NS.NAMESERVERS.net': learnt (A=195.8.99.11,NS=128.8.10.90)

In short, it means that your name server was told that that a given name server would contain information about a given domain.  But it didn't.  It is, in short, a DNS configuration error with somebody elses domain.

I found a very good explanation of this message by Greg Lehey in the FreeBSD mailing list archives.
