Paul Hart posted a message on the IP Filter mailing list which included a script for removing an installation of IP Filter from a FreeBSD machine.  As Paul said, this script is designed for FreeBSD 3.4, but it should be adaptable for FreeBSD 4.0 without much difficulty.

Why would you want this script?

If you are installing the latest tarball from the IP Filter home page, then you'll want this script.  It allows you to remove the FreeBSD ipf sources and binaries.  If you don;t do that first, you'll wind up with two copies of everything.

You can get the script from the message above or from my sample directory.
