Things look quiet here. But I've been doing a lot of blogging at dan.langille.org because I prefer WordPress now. Not all my posts there are FreeBSD related. I am in the midst of migrating The FreeBSD Diary over to WordPress (and you can read about that here). Once the migration is completed, I'll move the FreeBSD posts into the new FreeBSD Diary website.

Dual Opteron - fans : left 8 July 2006


The front of the case is at the top. The motherboard is below the area shown. At the bottom-center of the photo, you can just see see two sticks of RAM.

Near the middle of the picture, and slightly to the upper right, you can see the power connectors for the fans. They are disconnected right now. The case is not getting hot, and the CPUs are running cool. When I add 8 drives, and put this into a server room at an ISP, then I'll reconnect the fans and get them going properly.
