 cvsup script.

Awhile back a good FreeBSD cheat site existed which helped me understand cvsup a bit better by scripting it out...

Unfortunately the FreeBSD part of the site was taken down recently. So with that said, here's a simple script to cron out after you put it in /usr/local/bin

echo Subject: `hostname` weekly cvsup run output
/usr/local/bin/cvsup -g -L 2 /usr/src/stable-supfile

My stable-supfile:

*default base=/usr
*default prefix=/usr
*default release=cvs tag=RELENG_4
*default delete use-rel-suffix
*default compress
# src-all
ports-all tag=.

So basically I just update the ports tree weekly by adding this to root's crontab...

0 22 * * 2 /usr/local/bin/cvsrun
