disk error 0x10 when start up

I'm having a serious problem, I turned my freebsd server off to move it out of my office so that I could lay a new carpet, plugged it back in, and was getting this command which I wasn't sure why it was asking it, i forget the command it was asking, but I didn't know what to do so i turned the server off again, when i restarted it, it was asking to boot from cd, in which case, now gives me this error:

>> FreeBSD/i386 BOOT
Default: 0:ad(0,a)/kernel
boot:
Disk error 0x10 (lba=0x4f)
No /kernel

what is wrong? I don't have a boot cd as my brother lives in London and he came down and installed FreeBSD for me, it was working fine until I had to unplug the server and move it into another room to lay a new carpet, this is really bugging me.

What can I do?
