incoming data capped at 200k/s on FTP

I'm running FreeBSD 4.0-Release on a local network with a windows box. However, I can't seem to upload from my windows box to the FreeBSD box at anything faster than 200k/s. I tried the built in ftpd and am running glftpd now, both do the same thing. I can download at intranet speeds (a meg or two a second), but I can't upload to it as fast. I also have samba setup for file sharing and I can copy files over at 4-5MB/sec both directions. It just seems to be a problem with FTP. Any help in getting rid of this cap would greatly be appreciated.

Do you have another freebsd server you can ftp from? Then you could verify if it is indeed freebsd's ftpd or if windows ftp stuff is just wacky...

It seems that you are right. I tried a different FTP client and I didn't get the problem, was able to upload at 3-4MB/s which sounds about right. Thanks for the help.
