If I remember right you have to move the file from it's uploaded location to somewhere else otherwise the cgi lib will delete it. If you are accessing the pages through SSL and your script is reporting a successful upload, but the file isn't there, then it's a script thing, not a SSL thing.

In other words, it doesn't matter what port your webserver runs on... all that happens before the CGI script sees it.

At least that's my understanding of it.

I'd take a look through the CGI docs and see if you have to do anything special to stop it from deleting the file upon completion (this is true of PHP).
