I am fascinated by just about all of your articles.
I have learnt a lot just by browsing them and picking up clues here and there.
For example:
I had recently been having trouble with named falling over about once a week, so I added a line to the cron file to automatically restart named several times a day.
Yep, that's right, I finished up with 87 copies of named running at the same time.
THEN I saw your article on "sending a HUP to a program".
All was made clear, the command I should have put into cron was of course "ndc reload". I had never even heard of the command before. So, thanks for the fish.
