Operations on X clipboard via xclip (fvwm)
Author: parv

After searching for a (near) perfect program to run arbitrary operations on a X selection buffer, i happened upon wmcliphist. It is not very good as firing of an op is an all or nothing deal.

So, after searching the ports index, i found xclip and xsel. Following is what i use to run a program on the last selected buffer in fvwm (2.5.6)...

DestroyFunc exec-xclip
AddToFunc exec-xclip
+ I Exec $* `xclip -o`

DestroyMenu clipMenu
AddToMenu clipMenu "Clipboard Operation" Title
+ &dict exec-xclip xterm -e dict
+ &w3m exec-xclip xterm -e w3m
+ &netscape exec-xclip netscape
+ &wget exec-xclip xterm -e wget

key c A 4 Popup clipMenu Root c c
