Dan:
I cannot help but see the similarities in our paths. I too went the software engineering route and had a blast along the way. However, as a former resident of NY, lost some knee joints to snow and ice (yeah - I can't ski!) I left for Florida where I _finally_ graduated from the University of West Florida.
Nonetheless, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for such a resourceful web site. I have used several of your procedures in setting up some really neat servers (NetSaint has been the best to date). Not to sound like a source basher, but more often than not, I turn to your web site first for problem solving. I say this not to take away anything from FreeBSD.org but that you more than likely have come across a problem I have had. I can usually find a solution within your diary (someplace) and more often find something that helps me through. (Are we making sense here or rambling?)
I am going to follow in your footsteps and do the Phorum thingy (hopefully with the same outstanding results). Great job – keep up the good work. One day you will be justly rewarded for your efforts.

With best regards,
Robert
