 playing windows media from a freebsd machine

i have a win2k server from which i want to stream video to freebsd machines on my small lan.can samba tools allow me to do that?as of now i can play from my server using windows clients.if i get a player for freebsd which can play .asf files,i think i should be able to do it.can anyone tell me if its feasible?i dont know much about samba.but if its possible i am ready to dive in.

That's not a comment. It's a question. It belongs in the support forum.

I wish I could find a way to make it much more obvious to people that support questions go into the support forum. Article comments are suppposed to provide useful information over and above that found in the article.
