This is an excellent article about setting up an ipv6 tunnel with
Hurricane Electric.
As per the article, setup the default route as follows:
route -n add -inet6 default 2001:0DB8:0:8002:EAE
One important entry was omitted from the rc.conf:
ipv6_defaultrouter="2001:0DB8:0:8002:EAE"
Add that line along with the others otherwise the default route won't be set at boot.
