 recalculate free disk space

hi there , this is a fist message for me in this forum and i want to say hi to all of you

i want to ask about how i can make my freebsd OS to recalculate the freedisk space, when i have low disk space on the server i delete a big file but it take a long time untill it recalculate the new disk space

i just want to know if there is a command to do this
