 php enable mysql after install

hello guys,

i have a dedicated server (freebsd 5.3) with php 4.3 installed. for some reason the hosting company did not enable mysql when php was compiled. now i need mysql support because i am installing zen cart.

how do i enable mysql support for php after everything was installed?

You must recompile PHP.

If you are using php from ports/lang/php[4|5] you can adjust it in the php[4|5]-extensions port.
