You FreeBSD must has one route to reach outside machines.

Is this route the same that other machines ?

In most cases this is the default route (the same that your LAN machines has).

to add route:

route add -net default YOUR_DEFAULT_GATEWAY_IP NETMASK

You must specify this route on your FreeBSD machine.

cheers
