I'm trying to learn more about how "natd" and "divert" works in freebsd.
I know how to do nat & firewalling with linux.
But, in freebsd, all stuff you got to learn are stupid howto and examples - including the handbook!!!
are out there any pages that explains HOW the f*** natd and divert works in freebsd, besides (and better than) man pages, examples and howtos?
i know, manual pages are the base and examples are cool sometimes.
but how the hell this works? which are the principles of natd and divert?
I know the principles of how NAT and packet filtering works.
but how the hell to understand how this works for freebsd only from examples?
this sucks!

I use ipf, which doesn't need divert. In fact, I went to ipf because of divert.
