What do i need to install to be able to cut and paste from console?

If I remember correctly, the program your looking for is called gpm.
I don't know any options for it.

it depends what you mean by cut and paste. if you mean with the mouse, you must get moused running. for more information on that, refer to the handbook. if you mean with the keyboard (contrl k, contrl y, etc) tcsh or bash will allow you to do that.
