The answer is simple: to get me one more page hit on my ads....

Actually: it's more like I've never done it. You're not the first to ask. It's a matter of priorities. I have a whole list of things I want to do. And the search box on the front page isn't at the top of the list. Closer to the top of the list is:

- adding the article date to the search results
- creating a master list of the most important atricles (some articles have been replaced by more recent events, but they are still listed under the topics page for completeness)
- allowing user comments to appear at the bottom of each article (instead of in the feedback forum).

Yeah, I know it would only take an hour or so to add what you want. Now: if someone went and did that for me, and send me the code, that would speed things up considerably....
