Yes, I did - all I needed to do was put the following in /etc/hosts.allow
auth: ALL : allow

I'm running 4.1.1-STABLE cvs up'ed last Thursday the 28th. Changing entries in inetd..conf and doing a killall -HUP inetd worked properly. (I was following the instructions in the PR to reproduce the problem.)

I think I may have had it working prior to this because I was using oidentd which, although it was run from inetd initially, it had the -w flag which allowed it to run as a standalone daemon and bypass tcpwrappers.
