 True Type Font crashes X

Ok, i followed everything in the article to setup ttf in the X Window.
I added like 30 fonts to the system, but only 3 are identified. What could be wrong?
Also... If I try to change the Netscape properties to use my specific fonts, and not the web fonts and I select one of the new 3 identified fonts, X crashes really bad!
I use FreeBSD 4.1R.
Anyone had this problem before?

Hrmm try using XFree86 v4's xfs instead.
