Hey,

I am a newbie to all this but i am trying to set up a server and have been playing with /etc/rc.conf. I edited it a little with a few sendmail commands, rebooted the box and wham it doesnt load correctly...

It mounts root the says there is a syntax error and rc.conf and asks for a shell i press enter for the default shell.

I go to hash prompt find i cant use vi... so i spend an hour working our how to mount my /usr and /tmp drives. after i mount these i can finally use vi but cant save the rc.conf file on / because it somehow is a "read only file system"

any suggestions would be gratefull.
Thanks
