 samba...
Author: Matthew Poole

Hi all

I'm using samba via samba-tng, which still uses the /usr/local/etc/smb.conf file.

When testing my samba server config using:

bsd47# smbclient \\\\\\bsd47

I get this (minus the bits that make sense):

creating lame upcase table
creating lame lowcase table
creating default valid table
creating default valid table
Failed to load /usr/local/etc/valid.dat - No such file or directory
creating default valid table

Anyone know what this means? Am I missing some necessary files?

By the way, it's 4.7.

Thanks in advance,

Matt
