 YAMAHA soundcard problem

My soundcard is YAMAHA(PCI),it's not supported by the freeBSD4.4. Could you tell me how can I use it.

I've got a yamaha chip in my notebook, which worked fine under 4.4.

I don't recall the exact chip, and don't have the notebook in front of me. The notebook is 3 or 4 years old by now, so it's not exactly a new chip.

I just added the pcm device in the kernel config, and then did a MAKEDEV on /dev/snd0 and it worked properly.
