I have the 4.7 iso's on disks but get a cursor only upon the install attempt. I'm sure the bios is set for cd boot [checked with a win98 disk-fine - I have NO clue as to the bios enter code and suspect I have tried all of them-except 1... ccompaq 166...]the iso is in the binary as per the faq and the image appears to be valid. The computer is fine and liked win98.The turbolinux install [old disks]was ok but crashed on the gui boot attempt. I couldnt get the xconfig file to like the s3 video. I would like to give freebsd a shot. Can you help? TIA

How about creating the two boot disks and trying them? You can then install from the CD.

An excellent idea. Thanks for your reply.I have downloaded the floppy boot files and the dos conversion [to image]utility. I am still confused as to why the [insert explicative] box won't see the bootable image.. Oh..Merry Christmas.
