ok howdy all been a bit since i been around these parts
here's the situation my friend had a hd on his windows machine that gave him nothing but trouble
he purchased a new one and said i could have the old one
took it home and mounted it on my home box with no problems in two hours i had the thing half full of shn files (if you dont know about shns read etree.org)
so i mounted the drive as /shn now after doin so i thought hey wouldnt it be cool if i could take this drive and bring it up to my ftp server here at work
ok great but on that machine there is already a partition named /shn ???
so as i see it i have two options:
change the mountpoint to /shn3 -> is this easy? not sure if i can do this thru sysinstall barely investigated so far
or just mount hook it up to the other machine (with an existing /shn) and see what happens? -> what would happen? im brave but not willing to lose 12-15GB of shn files (some of which are not backed up)
thoughts comments flamming?
hope everyone stateside enjoyed the turkey!
