 Simple Problem (I gues...): http_proxy
Author: Begbie

Hi

I am running FreeBSD inside my company network. All internet-traffic from within this network to the outside world has to go via a proxy server (both http and ftp).
I was looking for hours but couldn't find any conf-file where I could define a http_proxy or ftp_proxy. Where and how is this done?
I found a possibility to tell wget to use a proxy so I assume that other programms could also be told to do so. But I don't want to add this information to the configuration-file of every single programm I am using. Isn't there something like a global variable for this sort of thing?
