i'm running a mail server but i want to disable storing emails on the other persons computer when they pop3 into my mail server. In other words i want my server to keep a copy of the end users email so that if they later want to retrieve it from the web or what have you a copy is still their.
i'm running. basicly its a pop3 mail server.

sendmail
procmail
maildrop
qpopper
not really applicable uvscan.

web
noc
imap-uw

any ideas.?

forget it... i figured it out... i was setting accounts up on M$ outlook with both pop and imap and pop was not leaving a copy on the server... so i deleted the pop accounts and left it as imap... im not really sure what i would want to use pop for... this is my thinking im using imap for internal network mail... and im using squirrelmail for outside the network... i setup qpopper because you wrote that article on it... but whats the use it seems like more of a hassel then anything else... plus only certain clients can use the apop feature so you have to set them up with clear text so their goes that security feature... and it totaly bogs down my server like no other constantly re-downloading for whatever the client has it timed for... i want some f'n thoughts on this... dammit (: just kiddin... im just pissed cause i've been programming java all semester, and i just want this semester to end...
