 Syslog Server
Author: NoCoN

I am Looking for information on Configureing a Syslog Server for remote Logging of Multiple Machines. The Trouble I am haveing is Finding information on how to set up the /etc/syslog.conf file on the server, so that it will accept logs from each Machine and append the information to seperate Files based on the clients hostnames.

For example:
messages from host1 will send the messages to Loghost. Loghost will append the information to the file /var/log/host1/messagess

messages from host2 will send the messages to Loghost. Loghost will append the information to the file /var/log/host2/messages

etc....

Is there a How to for this somewhere ? i have checked the man page for syslog.conf and there is no mention for server side specific information.( at least not that I saw ) .
anyone have a sample conf file so that i may look at ??

any info would be great.
Thanx
