dcop server errors at X startup
Author: Gaspar

Hi,

I wonder if anyone had the following error and what the fix for this condition would be...
I am running FreeBSD 4.4 and am planning to upgrade to 4.7.
I use the KDE 2.2 desktop at this time.

After I installed the X system everything worked fine for a while. I could start X from my Windows pc and also from the console. However, after a week or so when I started X from the console as root, I started to get dcopserver not running errors. This problem carried over to the user account as well. If I try starting X three or four times X will start and KDE seems to be working OK...

I almost forgot... I usually also get the following message: the network connetion list could not be found.

Any ideas anyone?
