Author: Peter

HI all

I learned and got the upload file program from freebsddiary
now I have a question

I used it to upload file to '/var/ftp/incoming'

Do you think it has security problem?
It seems by pass the right of ftpacces

BTW. I used wu-ftp server for anonymous.
But I disclovered that there are files 'group and password' on the etc directory

Could I remove it for security purpose?

Thank you

best regards
Peter

in you look in the group and password file, they aren't the same as your real group and password file. AFAIK, they exist to make the ls command work properly. Instructions on created the FreeBSD ftpd with a built-in ls command are found on this site. Search the topics for ftp, it's under there. Look for chroot.
