1 - Yes. That's normal.

2 - fetch is broken. see my recent article on that. It's not a port. It's source code. I just grabbed the 4.0 from one of my older boxes. In response to your query, here's a link to the fetch I'm using on my box.

Copy this file to /usr/bin
cd /usr/bin
mv fetch fetch.doesnotwork
mv fetch.4.0-stable fetch

then fetch should work. let me know. cheers.
