I'm trying to us a Windows NT 4.0 PC to burn install CD's for FreeBSD 4.4. I went to: ftp://ftp5.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ISO-IMAGES-i386/4.4/, and ended up downloading a file called , 4.4-install.iso. Now what ? What do I do with the file called 4.4-install.iso ? Do I un-compress it some how?
Thanks!

Hi Woody
Now that you have the iso, you need burning software that supports .iso images - in order to burn it to your cd.
Try looking into the software that came with your burner " two see if it supports such features", or if all else fails - try:

The above software supports images..^
It's shareware though :(
Best regards

Once you burn it to CD, boot your machine using the kern.flp and mfsroot.flp floppy disks.. Once you configure the kernel and set your partitions, it will ask you how you wish to install BSD. Choose CD and you're on your way.
I use NTI CD Creator as my iso burning rom, though I'm sure you could use NERO and the like.
