Problems Installing JRun with FreeBSD 3.4
Author: Ron Tarrant
Date:   13-06-00 04:12

I untarred JRun and ran install.sh, but I got an error message saying that ld-elf.so.1 can't find libjava.so. I checked for libjava.so and found that it had, indeed, been installed by either JDK 1.1.8 or Jikes (I wasn't paying attention, so I don't know which). I tried putting a soft link in /usr/libexec (where ld-elf.so.1 lives) but get the same error. I also tried making a copy of libjava.so in /usr/libexec with the same results.

If anyone knows how to get around this problem, please let me know.

Thanks.
