 FreeBSD4.0-STABLE? Where's that?
Author: Bjorn Tornqvist

Hi all,

I've seen some references to FBSD4.0-STABLE (as opposed to -RELEASE) lately, even on this site. But where can I find it?
ftp ftp.freebsd.org
cd pub/FreeBSD/releases/i386/
ls
150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for 'file list'.
3.3-STABLE
3.2-STABLE
3.4-STABLE
3.4-RELEASE
5.0-CURRENT
ISO-IMAGES
3.x-STABLE
4.0-RELEASE
226 Transfer complete.

Please help me on this one; according to everything I've read concerning the FreeBSD release schedules there shouldn't exist a 4.0-STABLE for quite some time now, or has anything changed without the handbook being updated?

Thanks in advance!
