Sound articles are out of date

The sound articles are out of date. They are not current for FreeBSD 4.0. Apparently, controllers have been removed starting with FreeBSD 4.0. If that's the case, could someone please provide updated information and I'll refresh the articles.

Is there a simple HOWTO about installing a sound card with FreeBSD-4.0 wich explain for an old ISA SB16 card and a newer PCI AWE ?
