Most ADSL connections are just simple ethernet connections. If you have a home network, set up your freebsd box to be a gateway. Have two NICs in the box, one connected to the DSL line, the other to your hub. Everything connects to the hub. See the topology link above for an example.
I use ADSL here. It's pretty easy. Nothing special at all. If you have a static IP address, it's easier. Otherwise, get DHCP going.
