 Installing 4.2 without BIOS shadowing
Author: Shivang Patel

I can't seem to disable BIOS shadowing. When I try to install BSD my nic card doesn't get recognized correctly, it says ed1 (when it should be ed0) and shome error about not being able to clear memory location c0000. My bios setup has no simply action to turn it on and off, instead I have to choose a shared memory size, like 16 kb, 32 kb, 48, etc. I tried every possible combination, but none worked. Can someone help get this to work. Or at least get my nic card to work.

Hey man, I'm assuming by your title that you are in fact using 4.2 stable. If that part is at least right, which NIC card are you trying to get to work? Again, it helps to know you're trying to use the ed driver, but which exact NIC??? With that info we might be able to figure out what the problem is.

Later.

orb.
