 The question about NIS configuration.

Hello:

Q:
0).After configuring, I create a new user(e.g. szm) on NIS server.

when I log in it from NIS client. I use "pwd" command to see where

I am. The screen show is "/"------root. Is that correct? why???

1). if I want this new user login his home directory on NIS client.

How can I do?

well, that depends on what szm's home directory is. if his home directory doesn't exist, i'm very suprised he can even log in. i would suggest making his home directory on the nis server nfs exported, and mount it from the nis client.
