This test comparison done by a true penguinista himself, yet the conclusions compel him to say "I have to ask myself why I don't just switch my (Linux) server to FreeBSD".

It has been said before on this site....and it would be said again, by this formal FreeBSD supporter, that posts like this should be on slashdot.org or microsoft.com, not this site. Stupid supporters (of anything) is what turns people away from something. Perhaps Mr. L should create a giude line of what should be posted here, and what shouldn't. But then again why would he himself follow it?

I've always found that lists of what is and what is not acceptable lead to people testing the list to the extreme. It means you spend more time arguing about what's acceptable etc.

It's far easier to expect people to act like adults and then crack down on them when they don't.

As for the assertion that I don't follow my own rules:

1 - what are you referring to?

2 - so what if I didn't? *grin*
