 scsi emulation in FreeBSD
Author: alfresco

Greetings I wonder if scsi emulation can be performed in FreeBSD. I desire to use the xcdroast port, but my CD-RW hardware is ATAPI not scsi. Linux does scsi emulation on the ATAPI CD-RW as you know, in order to use xcdroast, but I wonder if the same thing can be done in FreeBSD, and if so, how?

I think that cdrecord in FreeBSD already must be doing scsi-emulation for ATAPI CD-RW's (correct me if I am wrong), so how to get xcdroast to do the same thing?

I've tried to figure this out myself too, though I would like to use cdrdao and burn bin/cue files. I tried to search for info but the only thing I found out was that only burncd(8) supports ATAPI burners. Please correct me if I'm wrong :)
