Author: Raymon

I am setti up ip masquerading and am seeing a little conflict over using natd or ppp -alias
I am reding that if you use ppp you really shouldn't use natd, But also that -alias is on it's way out - can someone give me the scoop??

ppp -alias *is* on the way out. But it's being replaced by ppp -nat. So don't use natd.

as reported at <a href="http://www.freebsddiary.org/alias.html">Installing PPP - alias</a>

btw: if you want a packet filter, I think IP Filter (ipf) will be better with ppp than ipfw.
