 IP FIlter & bridge or routed ?
Author: Matthew Turany
Date:   19-01-01 00:19

Okay,

Scenario: Setting up a gateway / firewall with two ethernet interfaces one goes to the internet and the other goes to the local LAN.

IP Filter looks pretty good, got a handle on the rules and I think I can even figure out ipnat, question is though;

Do I need to enable bridging in the kernel or should I just turn on routing in the rc.conf?

Or am I an idiot and don't even have to worry about either?

TIA
