I have successfully installed PSR Vast f90 Fortran 90
compiler for Linux on my FreeBSD 4.4.1.
This compiler is free for personal use, and it is
actually a f77->f90 translator which calls f77 to compile
the translated source, so you can force it to
produce BSD binaries.
Unfortunately, the GNU G95 compiler is in a very
early stage of developement, and I looks to
me that PSR V/f90 is the only F90 free compiler
available.
If anybody is interested I can post a HOWTO.
