PostgreSQL new installation, doesn´t create user pgsql and dir pgsql /usr/local/pgsql, this message is appear "su: unknown login: pgsql"
Are there any oficial script or PostgreSQL ready method ?

Are you using the ports tree? http://www.freshports.org/databases/postgresql84-server/ indicates that 8.4.9_2 is the latest version of the port.

It looks the issue you are having was fixed on 20 Oct 2011 22:07:29

Perhaps you need to refresh your ports tree and try again.

postgresql-server-8.4.9_2 The most advanced open-source database available anywhere.
yes I have the ultimate version, I tried testing with 8.3 version and is OK... Its create a pgsql user ready. I must be to do this in order to get user pgsql ready for 8.4 version: pw user add -n pgsql -u 70 -c "PostgreSQL Daemon" -d /usr/local/pgsql -s /bin/sh -L postgres, passwd pgsql, mkdir /usr/local/pgsql, chown -R pgsql:pgsql /usr/local/pgsql/.
