 DST patch break ntpdate?
Author: el_kab0ng

Anyone else notice that after applying the FreeBSD patch (or installing the updated version of zoneinfo from misc/zoneinfo) that ntpdate is now broken?

All I get since applying the patch is no suitable servers found errors.

echo '16i[q]sa[ln0=aln100%Pln100/snlbx]sbA0D4D465452snlbxq'|dc

Let me rephrase that...

The update to zoneinfo breaks the stock version of ntpdate that is supplied as part of the O/S. You must now update the ntp client tools by installing the updated port from /usr/ports/net/ntp

echo '16i[q]sa[ln0=aln100%Pln100/snlbx]sbA0D4D465452snlbxq'|dc
