 Gigabit ethernet hell

Hello All,

I am trying to increase throughput to all of my FreeBSD servers and for the life of me, I can not seem to increase the speeds. I am averaging around 30MB/s on all machines. Tried using crossover cable to verify if the switch was a bottleneck. Same speeds - 30MB/s

I have tried numerous options:

kern.ipc.maxsockbuf=4000000
net.inet.tcp.sendspace=131070
net.inet.tcp.recvspace=131070
net.inet.udp.recvspace=131070
net.inet.tcp.rfc1323
net.inet.tcp.inflight_enable=0

And I have also increased the mtu on the interface to 9000.

I am obviously missing something.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thnx from Minooka Illinois.
