I don't actually need to control the UPS from my FreeBSD servers, I just want to have some sort of console that interacts with the APC Power Chute software.
I have the Server portion installed on a Windows 2000 box. I was wondering if there was some sort of "non-attached, but behind a UPS" daemon that would report in and be controlled by the Server portion of the Power Chute warez.
If anything, this would send shutdown commands to the FreeBSD servers to power them off in the event of an extended power outage.
Does anyone know of such a beast?
