 Handling mailq

I want to delete the entry from mailq if it is unable to send mail in one shot.

At present it trys to send mail for 4 days from mailq

I want that i will try to send mail only for 1 hour. If it is unable to send mail within one hour then it should be deleted from mailq

How can we accomplish it.
