Hey,

I was just wondering if the second part of this article is going to be made. I just aquired a dual Opteron Server and I am in the same boat as you.

Are you cross-compiling the ports structure / packages or using a cross compiler as the first reply mentioned?

Yes, it' been a long time hasn't it!

Other things have taken priority. In short, yes, I did some cross compiling, sort of. I took the distribution from 5.x and uncompressed it onto my 6.x machine. Then I did a chroot and compiled everything from there. Sorry, I don't have more detail.
