Trying to run postfix 2.2.3 as a front end for exchange 2000 on freebsd 4.11. Have postfix running but cannot get mail relayed to exchange server. Keep getting relay denied. Setup transport per man pages, and setup my network in main.cf.
If anyone has a recipe for setting this up, I would like to set it. I have found them for just about everything accept freebsd. Been at this for over a week.

The objective is to have the freebsd act as spam filter with Spamassassin.

Thanks

Router

Can you post the actual error message.

Also, I have done this before and would reccomend Sendmail for this over postfix.

I run postfix right now and love it except for one item and I will be going back to sendmail for it.

I can not reject an SMTP session via SpamAssassin. You have to accept the email and pass it off to another handeler like Amavis. With Sendmails milter, it will pass it as it accepts it and can reject it on the fly.

I used to run Sendmail with a program called PureMessage (now owned by Sophos) and loved it. Web based sieve configuration and it was REALLY fast.

I am now working on going back to Sendmail and am looking at Mimedefang.

Anyways, post your error message and config files if you can, I'd love to help you out.
